Career Experience
I have 15+ years' experience teaching mathematics and science at the middle and high school levels. My mathematics classroom teaching experience ranges from 6th grade math to AP Calculus BC, and I have taught physical science, chemistry, and oceanography. I have also tutored individuals and small groups of students in elementary mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, AP Calculus, SAT/ACT test prep, and chemistry.
I Love Tutoring Because
I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm and passion for mathematics and science with students and helping them overcome obstacles to fully understanding concepts. I love helping students realize and activate their strengths, build their "toolbox" of skills, and gain confidence in tackling challenging problems. My favorite part of tutoring is witnessing the "Ah Ha!" moment when students fully grasp a skill or concept and then watching them apply it!
